I was told about a kitchen garden that needed tending

And so, I took it on with relative success 

It has been an interesting venture: physically involving, obviously, and also educational from the point of view of the seasons and what to grow in them, and when during a season

Time to properly attend to the garden has been scant and the challenge has been to make time and flow with the vagaries of the weather

Now, news of an impending heatwave, and then the rain falls and falls

A lot of sun, and then a lot of rain, and a bit more sun and so on

The weather: that element of growing that cannot be predicted or ruled 

Seasons are less set than they once were: a changing climate
